CabSecs-ScreenshotThe Cabinet Secretaries is a high profile initiative involving Number 10, The Mile End Group and a range of other organisations. At the core of the project are interviews with the five living Cabinet Secretaries by Mile End Group founder Lord Hennessy, and prominent historian Anthony Seldon.

The brief

We were commissioned by The Mile End Group to build a website to showcase the videos. They wanted to create a bigger story around the films and provide some additional context for this important but largely unknown role. The website and videos were launched during an event at 10 Downing Street.

Our approach

The timescales for the project were extremely tight, so we took a collaborative ‘agile’ approach. The user experience, design stages and development happened in parallel, with the whole team involved.

The website was delivered through a series of iterative rounds, with the team and client feeding back on a regular basis.

The video post-production and copy development also happened alongside the website development communication between the wider collaborative group was vital.

Highlights

Out of necessity, we kept the website simple, but added in a layer of personality by making the whole website a single page. The navigation operates via a series of smooth anchor links and supporting information was placed at the bottom of the page.
